Our first full day in Paris was without a doubt going to be spent at the Musee d'Orsay. I remember this being my favorite museum last time I was here and my mom was dying to see the artwork here. It's all the really famous stuff that you really want to see. So we got up, got dressed and headed straight here.
Or not. The workers were on strike the entire time we were there. UGH!!!!! I guess we just have a very good reason to go back!
The time was not completely a waste, however. We did spot an artist across the street and we each picked up a piece of his work. Me a sketch of, what else, the Eiffel Tower and my mom the Notre Dame.
The drawing, done from memory might I add, was so incredible I had to get a picture of him to remember the person whose work will be on my walls for possibly the rest of my life.
Thank you mystery artist Parisian guy.
Off to the Louvre and across the river we go....
