This bookstore was on my top ten list of things I wanted to see. Our first night in Paris, we just happened to walk right into it. Score! It's all English books, but I believe a lot of them come from European presses so the look different.
Parusing the vintage section.
Right about now is when I found out that you aren't allowed to take pictures inside. Your loss because the coolest part of the whole place was upstairs right after this shot.
Poor Elle and Bentley got their souvenirs from here. I got Elle an nice, big hardback copy of 'Alice and Wonderland' and Bentley a 'Peter Pan.' I think they are so cool. I've never seen a version like them and they have old sketches and artwork throughout. Even worse is I won't let my poor kids see or keep them for at least another ten years. But, I wanted to get them something different, that would have more meaning and be a keepsake and would last for years to come. A stupid t-shirt or toy would last about five seconds in our house. I know because I got Elle a little plastic snow globe and it was already smashed, cracked and leaking (thank you Bentley) about ten minuts after I pulled it out of the suitcase.
View looking out the front of the shop.
